Boundaries for the Abused
If we don’t know what love is how are we going to determine if we are being loved and if we are loving others? In these scriptures we see where God has set some boundaries in place so we can distinguish between what love is and is not.

Your Story Matters...
Every story I hear impacts me. The story of the woman who grew up in a wealthy home with a loving mother and father and good education impacted me as much as the story of the woman who experienced great physical and emotional abuse as a child

Fear is a Lie
Fear is a lie and unlike other emotions it does not come from God. When God created humans, He created us in His image (Genesis 1:27). No where in scripture do we see fear as a part of God’s character/image.

Pain, What is it Good for?
How many of you when you read the title Pain, What is it Good for, said- absolutely nothing? While that little cheer puts a smile on my face, it isn’t very trustworthy. Pain may not feel good but it does have its place and often leads us to our purpose.

Anyone else struggles with insecurities? In most areas of my life, I am pretty confident. Maybe overconfident in some areas, but there is one area where I feel the most insecure.

Victim Or Victor? We Have A Choice

People are discriminated against, falsely accused, imprisoned, and controlled by unjust systems. It is easy for us to feel powerless, hopeless, and stuck in a victim mindset.

Masquerade the Slave Master
We may not be wearing physical masks during our daily routines, but many of us hide behind a different kind of disguise, what some professional counselors call “the false self” or “false identity.”

It's ok to not be ok
For years I have witnessed folks give me the same look of confusion when I tell them it is ok for them to not be ok.
